Australian Operations Officer

About the Role

 

The Operations Officer will be working closely with the R&D team to assist with both product development and grower engagement. The Officer will work with the microbial research team and agronomy team to ensure that projects run to time and hit deliverables, while supporting the management team for specific operational tasks. The role will be based in the Orange SCC office, with some field work at various locations. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assisting with project management within specific areas of the R&D program

  • Support SCC’s grower pilot group including both managing communications and extension resources and the running of on-farm pilot projects 

  • Regulatory and compliance management for carbon inoculum packages

  • Assist with hiring processes for Australia and international offices

  • Assist the carbon markets team with research and scoping and industry engagement as required

 

 To fit into the team perfectly you will have most of these attributes:

  • Studies in agricultural science, agricultural business, or agricultural production

  • On-farm experience or experience with R&D for agriculture

  • 2-5 years of experience post degree

  • Flexibility in approach to work - you will be required to direct day-to-day operations or processes 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects 

  • Confidence in working with teams

  • Ability to proactively engage with farmers when managing on-farm project sites

  • Willingness to travel, nationally where required

  • $70,000 - $80,000 plus super depending on skills and experience

  • Regionally based in Orange, NSW

  • 2 year contract, with option to renew
